Poster Month | Day 15 | Peace
I started today’s piece by trying to do a Bauhaus-inspired poster. The German movement in the early 1900s stressed simple shapes and geometric relationships. But the thing that is on my mind today is the Israeli-Palestinian crisis. As I design this poster, families are being bombed. People are dying on the other side of the world. So that worked its way in.
I will donate any profits from sale of this poster to the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund.
For the record - I’m not taking a side here. I don’t know enough about middle-eastern politics to have a position. I just know that Gaza is where the bombs are dropping, so that’s where I’m sending aid.
I will say that war is terrible and stupid, and that region has had more than its fair share.
